This was a well edited overview of what looks to have been a very fine presentation at SXSW. Derek Powazek gives his thoughts of what to do, and not to do, when building an interface for a community website where you want to gather intelegent data from a crowd.
The entire video is beautiful and ends with a great zoom out of the Mandelbrot set.
Imagine this scenario: You’re in a place where there are no power outlets. You’re cellphone is dead and you need to make a call. What to do?
Well, if you have a AAA battery, and some RCA cable – actually any wires would work – then you’re set. Bonus points if you have some tape handy.
Oh, and you need the charger to your cellphone.
